Abstract

Radar is part of an electronic element consisting of electromagnetic waves to
detect and determine the speed and location of an object, one of which is the doppler radar,
which is a type of radar that measures the radial speed of an object that enters the radar
catch using the doppler effect. This is done by transmitting a microwave signal to the object
and capturing its reflection, and then analyzing the changes.
In the design of a Doppler radar, the horn antenna can be used as a receiving and
transmitting antenna. Horn antenna has a large gain so that the reception of
electromagnetic waves is more sensitive and accurate. The antenna specifications are
designed in accordance with the specifications needed by the doppler radar, namely
working at X-Band frequencies (7.9 - 8.1 GHz), a gain of 12 db, VSWR 1.97, Return Loss
9.73 dB, and unidirectional radiation patterns.
